GM style – Ok, so how did you venture into the modelling Industry?
Kindly share a little bit of your educational background also.
____________________
Damola – Modelling chose me I didn’t!
My then room mate; Seun Kobina Bolaji was a top model, he shot the Mtn project fame advert and I was like; ‘ I can do that’  and he said he was going to hook me up and that was it.
I Came to Lagos and I met with Andy Ogbechi who taught me how to catwalk and my first show was This Day Fashion and Music Festival which featured jay z, Rihanna, usher, Chris brown, Ozwald Boateng, Chris Aire just to mention a few.
After that show, my career started and I had the best management which was Beth Modelling Agency now Beth Africa so they ensured I got booked for the best shows in town.
____________________
GM Style –  Wow! Power of good looks!
____________________
Damola – Well I will say the power of the Grace of God, because I wasn’t the best looking guy then but I always got booked
_____________________
GM style – So speaking of modelling agencies and the modelling industry as a whole in Nigeria, will you say it is lucrative?
_____________________
Damola – Modelling could be lucrative if models are paid well, but you have to be smart. I did a lot of gigs to add to what modelling brought in e.g I started the fashion show at the Ikeja city mall Now catwalk in ICM.
I have done a lot of production, styling and even wanted to be an actor but i wasn’t feeling it.
Now I have a clothing line called Alancruzer Bespoke and we specialize in tailored suits.
__________________
GM style – Speaking of your clothing line and Fashion, What is your ideal fashion style as a man and what are the top 5 fashion items a man should have in his wardrobe?
__________________
Damola – Depending on ur style, For a formal guy; A white shirt, blue suit and nice tie, leather wrist watch, nice silk socks and brown/ black dress shoes.
For a casual guy; A blue jean and nice polo/ lumberjack shirt, a nice G shock wrist watch and a black all stars shoe.

GM style – In your career path as a model, have you faced any challenges? How did you over come them or cope with those challenges?
___________________
Damola – A lot, challenges are what makes u great. I am a prayerful guy and I have a praying mother too. One thing I always say to my self is these things don’t define me so don’t think about it because if u dwell in it you won’t come out of it.
Relax and figure out a way to come out of it. Negativity doesn’t dwell around me no matter what.
___________________
GM style – Where do you draw inspiration from?
____________________
Damola – Every thing around me inspires me, even the truck pusher.
I just think there is always a better way
____________________
GM style – As regards the current sexual abuse trend in the creative industry, from Harvey Weinstein to Bill Cosby, is sexual harassment prominent in the modelling industry, especially here in Nigeria?
____________________
Damola – Sexual harassment is every where even in every corridor of power. even in churches and mosques, so it is too in modelling but the better way is to speak out and speak against it, moreover never put yourself in a venerable position and then label it as an assault.
_____________________
GM style – Have you ever been sexually harassed.
_____________________
Damola – No I haven’t been.
_____________________
GM Style – So the ladies will like to know, are you married? If yes, how did you meet Bae (Be as romantic as possible *wink*)

waking up in the middle of the night to feed Amani is like eating your best food and trust me it’s the best feeling ever and him holding your fingers while doing that is a total sweet experience.
_______________________
GM style – If given the opportunity, what social impact change will you like to make in the country or your immediate environment?
__________________________
Damola – My Social impact will be to change the way models are being treated in Nigeria, we can get a better treatment than how we are being treated. very soon a campaign will happen to address the way models are being treated in Nigeria.
